E-DRUG: Chemonics Pharma Supply Chain Positions available

Chemonics is seeking candidates for the anticipated 5-year,
multi-billion dollar United States Agency for International Development
(USAID) funded Global Health Supply Chain Project, expected to be
awarded and operational in September 2014. The project will consolidate
the procurement and assistance components of the current USAID DELIVER
and USAID Supply Chain Management System (SCMS) programs and will be the
primary vehicle through which USAID will procure and provide health
commodities to partner countries and provide assistance to improve
countries' management of the supply chains for such commodities. To
support global health initiatives in HIV/AIDS, malaria, maternal and
child health, and reproductive health, the project has three primary
objectives: global commodity procurement and logistics, systems
strengthening to support in-country supply chain management, and
collaboration via strategic engagement to improve long-term global
supply of health commodities.

*Managing Director*
Chemonics is recruiting a Managing Director to be responsible for
planning and coordinating all project-related activities and management
of personnel in the Washington office. S/he will lead client, and
stakeholder relations, including other donor organizations with whom
coordination is essential. As the recognized program leader, s/he will
liaise directly with USAID and other collaborating agencies on all
programmatic and performance matters. S/he will develop and manage
technical strategies and work plans with the flexibility to modify
depending on client needs and changing circumstances. S/he will work
closely with all consortium members to ensure their support, integration
and performance. Other responsibilities will include monitoring
programmatic, financial and administrative performance, and identifying,
developing and maintaining strategic alliances with other supply chain
donors and stakeholders.
*Qualifications:*
·Advanced degree in health or management-related discipline
·Minimum 15 years of experience in pharmaceuticals and medical supplies
supply chains and/or program management for global public health
programs and relevant experience in developing countries
·Direct experience leading a large scale organization with multi-country
operations focused on pharmaceutical supply chain, procurements and/or
logistics
·Skilled in leading and managing a large high-performing team of senior
managers and technical specialists
·Demonstrated capacity to implement USAID policies and procedures
·Demonstrated ability to work with cooperating partners in implementing
complex programs
·Ability to integrate stakeholders from the USG, host country
governments, NGOs, and the private sector
·Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communications skills; proven
diplomatic and public relations skills
·Fluency in written and spoken English
*Deputy Director *
Under the supervision of the Managing Director, Chemonics is recruiting
a Deputy Director to support to the Managing Director in all aspects of
his/her work, including coordination with USAID and all other
stakeholders and partners. S/he will organize the operations of the
principal project office and ensure adequate staffing to carry out the
work. S/he will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of task
order proposals, budgets, and negotiations. When new task orders are
assigned, the Deputy Director will organize each new task order team to
carry out the work in coordination with the principal office operations
and field teams. S/he will ensure that all project work follows USAID
regulations as well as the development and management of a high quality
monitoring and evaluation system.
*Qualifications:*
·Advanced degree in health or management-related discipline
·Minimum 10 years of experience in pharmaceuticals and medical supplies
and/or supply chain management systems and relevant experience in
developing countries or private sector
·Demonstrated ability to create efficiencies and lead operational
transformation in large complex, global, public health programs,
preferably with experience in medical procurement, logistics or supply
chain management
·Skilled in leading and managing a large high-performing team of senior
managers and technicians
·Demonstrated ability to work with cooperating partners in implementing
complex programs
·Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communications skills; proven
diplomatic and public relations skills
·Fluency in written and spoken English
*Other Leadership Positions*
*Director for Supply Chain Management: *responsible for leading,
managing and continuously improving the project's supply chain
operations for all commodities, including management oversight of
procurement planning, procurement operations, supplier relationship
management and development, inventory management, freight and logistics,
warehouse management, quality assurance, customer service help desk, and
related information systems.
·*Director of Field Programs:*responsible for providing technical
assistance aimed at strengthening supply chain management systems in
developing countries, including supporting country portfolio teams and
in-country teams in the development and implementation of technical
activities ensuring their adequate contribution to capacity building
results, and responsible for the deployment of capacity building tools
and frameworks and their customization and ownership at the country level.
·*Director of Strategic Engagement:*responsible for leading the
project's engagement with international, host country, and public and
private stakeholders to ensure strategic coordination of programs with a
variety of global health actors; understanding and managing commodity
market dynamics; supporting advocacy for pharmaceutical availability;
and collaborating with other USAID programs.
