E-DRUG: Commodities Logistics Manager position in Abuja, Nigeria

Public Health Institute's Global Health Fellows Program (GHFP) is currently recruiting for a Commodities Logistics Manager for USAID in Abuja, Nigeria. This is a two year fellowship position with a comprehensive benefits package.
This position will play a critical role in ensuring that approved drugs and supplies are available to target populations in Nigeria. Primary responsibility for procurement, importation, storage, and distribution of drugs and other HIV/AIDS commodities rests with implementing partners. A key function of the Manager is to oversee and and monitor USAID's partners implementing these activities. Working with the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief Team, the Manager will serve as the recognized expert on drug, test kit, and other HIV/AIDS related commodities logistics in the Nigeria team and collaborate closely with the Government of Nigeria and other Nigerian stakeholders such as the World Bank and Global Fund.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
US Citizenship Required; Applicants selected will be subject to security investigation and must meet eligibility for access to classified information.
a.. Advanced degree in pharmacy, medical diploma and/or experience in health commodities logistics;
b.. Minimum 5 years experience managing pharmacy and/or logistics activities in health or HIV/AIDS programs;
c.. In depth knowledge of best practices in pharmacy and logistics supply chain management;
d.. Demonstrated leadership and skill in decision making, managing complex activities in a developing country, preferably Africa
e.. Excellent management, team work and interpersonal skills;
f.. Familiarity with HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention and related infections in Africa
g.. Experience working with NGOs, FBOs, and other organizations working with HIV/AIDS
h.. Nigeria specific experience preferred, but not required
i.. Proven ability to monitor and evaluate programs and provide internal and external reporting
j.. Ability to travel within Nigeria frequently
