E-DRUG: Vacancy for pharmaceutical products procurement and supply manager

GFA Consulting Group (please visit our website for more information on our firm) is urgently looking for Pharmacists with experience in procurement for our Local Fund
Agent Services to the Global Fund. LFA missions are intermittent assignments (3 or 4 per year) each a couple of weeks long. Right now we have a vacancy for Mozambique, and may have vacancies in Latin America and Angola later on this year.
Applicants should have knowledge of Portuguese and/or Spanish.
The Global Fund is extremely strict in its requirements with regard to the professional qualifications for this team member.
Required Professional Experience:
7 years of experience in managing or advising on the procurement, distribution and supply of health products, particularly in developing countries with expertise in:
-Supply and demand issues in the implementation of Public Health Programs;
-Assessing policies, systems and structures in the public and/or private health sector that are relevant for managing effective and efficient access to pharmaceuticals and other health products, particularly for AIDS, TB and focusing on identifying relevant strengths and weaknesses and on developing action oriented recommendations;
-A strong understanding of AIDS, TB and Malaria market dynamics and existing global supply challenges as well as international health-products procurement and supply management processes, applicable national and international laws and recognized standards; and
-Good writing and analytical skills.
Required Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in pharmacy-related field complemented by education and/or professional training/experience in Health Management, Logistics and Public Health.
