The International HIV/AIDS Alliance is a leading international non governmental organisation supporting community action on HIV and AIDS in developing countries. We are currently looking to fill the following vacancy based at our Secretariat in Brighton, UK.
Manager: Procurement and Supply of Health Products(Ref: FAD/308)
Starting salary circa £40,000 per annum plus excellent benefits package
The post holder will assume responsibility and provide technical and managerial leadership for the procurement and supply of pharmaceuticals and health products for Alliance programmes globally including the AIDS treatment activities supported in Ukraine by the Global Fund.
Responsibilities will include the development and implementation of internal procurement strategies, policies and procedures, provision of the relevant technical support, as well as contract negotiation and management. The post-holder will also play a key role in the management of the PSM unit of the Alliance in Ukraine.
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years experience of providing technical and managerial leadership in international procurement of pharmaceutical commodities related to the areas of responsibility listed above. This position requires excellent interpersonal, management and leadership skills with the ability to mentor and train others. The job will involve significant amount of travel.
