E-DRUG: compliance aids

E-DRUG: compliance aids (2)
---------------------------

Dear Dr Halsted:

I do research on contraceptive compliance, primarily oral
contraceptives, and have published one article, w another pending, on
data collected from a dialpack version of the MEMS electronic
monitoring device. I'd be glad to send those to you if helpful. Also
Dr. John Urquhart (urquhart@netcom.com), who developed the device, can
give you far more info. on research using the device in the US and
Europe. Also a book by Cramer and Spilker, Patient Compliance in
Medical PRactice and Clinical Trials, NY:Raven, 1991 has several
articles on electronic monitoring.

You may also want to contact Anderson Clinical Technologies, who have
developed a device used in FDA clin trials called EXACT. They can be
reached at 815-397-6091 (US). I don't have an address. John Fowler is
the person I've talked w there.

Good luck and let me know if you want the articles mailed. See
contact info below. Also, I would very much like to get info on the
devices you mentioned (can you send addresses?) and a copy of your
paper.
