[e-drug] Conference pharmacists and AIDS developing countries

E-drug: Conference pharmacists and AIDS developing countries
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

ReMeD Association will organise a conference in Paris about "Aids:
the role of the pharmacist in developing countries" on the 12th of
November 2001.

The purpose of the conference is to encourage pharmacists to start
thinking and acting about providing care to aids patients in Africa.

Please find the program below.

The specific objectives are to:

- improve the attendants' knowledge on the use of antiretroviral
  drugs (ARVs)
- share experiences about distribution and dispensing of
antiretroviral drugs used in the treatment of opportunistic
  infections.
- improve knowledge and existing procedures to improve
pharmacists' services: production, purchase and distribution.
- anticipate the preliminaries before any treatment of aids patients.

The conference programme is designed to allow maximum
interchange between participants and presenters. The language of
the conference will be french.

Invitations are necessary to obtain a French visa.
Anyone interested in the conference can receive an invitation by
sending me a request.

For those unable to attend this conference, ReMeD can dispatch
papers and documents from the speakers. A summary will be
written and published in french on the Association website.

We will be pleased to answer any other question.
