We would like to extend a very warm invitation for the 3rd Course on Pharmaceutical Management in Hospitals to be held at IIHMR University, Jaipur, India, from November 2 to 6, 2015.
The Institute of Health Management Research, at the IIHMR University, Jaipur is an institution dedicated to improvement in standards of health through better management of health care and related programmes. It seeks to accomplish this through management education, training, research, consultation and institutional networking in a national and global perspective. The institute has been designated as WHO collaborating Center for District Health Systems based on Primary Health Care. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India has identified the institute as an Institute of Excellence for training and capacity building. This institute has been contributing towards this very topical issue of international importance through its flagship WHO sponsored International Courses in Promoting Rational Drug Use in Communities (PRDUC). Since 2003, 12 PRDUC programs, 3 international courses on Anti-retroviral and Related Drug Supply Chain Management in Low Resource Settings, 2 international training courses in Pharmaceutical Management in Hospitals, two programs on “Rational Use of Medicines with focus on HIV, TB & Malaria” and one program on “International Procurement of Medicines & Health Supplies” have already been organized by the IIHMR. In view of the current global focus on Rational Use of Medicines in hospitals through Pharmaceutical/ Drugs & Therapeutics Committees (PTC/DTC) a one week Course on Pharmaceutical Management in Hospitals to be held at IIHMR University, Jaipur, India, from November 2 to 6, 2015.

The Program Fee of US$ 600 + 14 % service tax per participant covers twin-shared air-conditioned accommodation at the Institute Guest House, tuition, course materials, field visit, and airport transfers, with breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea/coffee during the program. For accommodation on single occupancy basis USD 20 per day will be charged extra. Applications / Nominations received with payments on or before 4-weeks from the commencement of the program, i.e. July 20, 2015 will be entitled to an early bird discount of 10% and any organization sponsoring five or more participants to the program will be entitled to a group discount of 20 % on total fee payable, if at least five participants actually attend the program. However, the maximum discount an organization can avail (early bird and group discounts) is to a ceiling of 20 %.

Completed “CV Template” should reach to the Course Coordinator latest by October 05, 2015 from foreign participants requiring visa supporting letters and by October 20, 2015 from others participants not requiring visa supporting letters.
Depending upon availability of funding support, a partial or full program fee waiver can be considered for deserving candidates from the South East Asian Region (SEAR) who are unable to find financial support. Such aspiring candidates may send a duly filled-in “CV Template” stating their motivation for attending the program within the space provided.
