The 4th series of international training program on Patient Medication
Safety and Quality Management will be held from July 11 to 15, 2016 at
WHO collaborating centre Indian Institute of Health Management Research
(IIHMR) , Jaipur, India. For confirm your space please register know as per

About Course
WHO estimates that 10% of patients worldwide are affected due to errors
in medical care. Hence these adverse drug events and medication errors
cause significant health and economic repercussions both in developed
and developing countries. Therefore a global concerted effort is needed
to address patient medication safety and it needs by involving all
health-care stakeholders, including patients.
Objectives of course
The specific objectives of the program are:
- To enable participants understand the concepts and need of medication
safety culture in organization.
- To develop error-reduction strategies around the use of
high-alert medications
- To discuss effective communication techniques and human error that
may impact on patient medication safety.
- To create a patient medication safety culture in hospital.
Design:
The course is participatory in nature and uses the knowledge, skills and
experiences of participants as a major resource throughout.
Teaching methods include group activities, field work, presentations and
discussions. The course will be conducted in English. The participants are
required to have a good command of this language to participate efficiently.

Completed Nomination Form must reach to the Course Coordinator
by June 18, 2016,
to facilitate timely finalization of sending invitations for participation along with visa
support letters.
Applications / Nominations received with payments on or
before 4-weeks from the commencement of the program, i.e. June 18, 2016
will be entitled to an early bird discount of 10% and any organization
sponsoring five or more participants to the program will be entitled to a
group discount of 20 % on total fee payable, if at least five participants
actually attend the program.
However, the maximum discount an organization
can avail (early bird and group discounts) is to a ceiling of 20 %.
