E-DRUG Subject: Curious abortion device from Norway???

Today, A distributor from Delhi came to ask me whether I would like to
stock an abortion device in my retail pharmacy. This device consisted of 12
sticks (a little longer than match sticks and twice as thick) with pieces
of thread coming out from them. The box in which they were packed read "Sea
Tangle Tents" from Laminaria Digitata. Made in Norway. On enquiry he told
me that it was to be inserted into the vagina (the sticks have little
variations in their sizes), used for abortions 6 - 8 weeks old. The cost of
the box was Rupees 400 (approx. 10 USD), and they have been selling the
prodcut for almost 30 years ! Could any one tell me what on earth is this
???

[Moderator's comment I was in two minds as to whether to post this but I
decided to because of the Norway mention. I wonder whether this product is
registered in any state in India and whether by any chance they are from
Norway. If not, how can the manufacturer claim that they are made in Norway.
