E-drug: DDD for comparison of consumption

Dear E-Druggers

Regarding drug consumption statistics presented by Dr Richard Laing, the
problem is the amount of drug expenditure is not able to be compared
because of different prices. I am wondering why the DDD is not widely
applied. I am thinking about promoting the DDD application in hospitals.
It would be useful if someone could share experiences on this topic.
