E-DRUG: Dipyrone

E-drug: Dipyrone
---------------------------------------------

Dear Colleagues

Who has information regarding countries that have banned
dipyrone and aminopyrine ? Any information pointing towards this
direction is highly appreciated.

Thanks,

[A good start would be to look in the "Consolidated list of products
whose consumption and/or sale have been banned, withdrawn,
severely restricted or not approved by governments", Second
edition, 1987, ST/ESA/192. Sales number E.87.IV.1,
ISBN 92-1-130120-3. To be obtained from the Sales Office UN,
DC 2-0858, 2 UN Plaza, New York 10017, USA. There have been
talks on the preparation by WHO of an updated edition of this
standard work. Can somebody from WHO give any news on the
status of this update?

Another good source on information on Dipyrone is Health Action
International. The address:
