E-DRUG: Re: Dipyrone

E-drug: Re: Dipyrone
---------------------------------------------

Dear friends,

The most recent update of the "Consolidated List of Products Whose
Consumption and/or Sale Have Been Banned, Withdrawn, Severely
Restricted or Not Approved by Governments" is the 6th edition of 1997,
specific on pharmaceuticals. Sales No. E.97.IV.2 ISBN 92-1-120183-1

However, I observed that there are country actions on dipyrone that are
not listed. In Thailand, the combination of dipyrone with antispasmodics
was
banned, and the single component dipyrone was changed from over-the-
counter drug to prescription-only. The action was taken in 1994. It 's good
to hear that there were regulatory activities in other countries that are
not
yet mentioned in the book.

UN should be aware of their collection of data on regulatory actions in
countries.
