[e-drug] Drug references organisation

E-drug: Drug references organisation
---------------------------------------------

Dear list members,

we are in the process of developing a free pharmaceutical reference
database (independent of country, language, health system etc).

We do not want to duplicate existing efforts, so I would like to hear if
related or similar projects already exist. Browsing the
essentialdrugs.org web site I did not get the impression that our goals
collide, but they may overlap a bit.

We would also be interested in any existing non-copyrighted raw material
for the database, and volunteers entering information.

Our goals are entirely benevolent (100% non-commercial and not for
profit). Ultimately we want to provide a freely accessible reference
database for pharmaceutical information, that can be redistributed
freely as well. The database is designed to plug in nicely into decision
support systems.

links not functional yet)
