E-drug: drug software

In the Lancet 25 January page 303, Ivan Stockley (an interaction and ADR
"guru") writes about a World Standard Drug Database (Safescript) said to be
inexpensive and "when linked to good, compatible computer technology can
considerably improve the safety of prescribing. All that is needed is
minimal computer literacy and the will to take advantage of what is now
available. This Read coded database "bolts" on to virtually any of the
surgery or clinic computer systems available". In this database he has
produced a suite of purpose written warning messages about drug interactions.
