E-DRUG: drug software

E-Drug: re: drug software
-------------------------

Isn't it simpler to state - so far as I remember - that the Medical
Letter diskette came out on top and is by far the cheapest?

Dr.L.Offerhaus

Dear Leo:

Yes, it is true that the software from the Medical Letter was the cheapest,
but it was lacking some characteristics that other programs had.
Forinstance, it did not list interactions by the level of severity or
significance; it did not identify as many interactions as some other
programs; it doesn't deal with drug-disease interactions. The conclusion
of the article was that there is no single best program; each of them had
strengths and weaknesses.
