E-DRUG: drug wastage study

I am a portugues pharmacist and I am planning to do an investigation about
drug
wastage, by describing the amont of drugs returned to pharmacies by the
population who don't use them anymore. The portuguese pharmacies have a
project to teach the population how to treat "old drugs" (that kind of drugs
that they don't need or that have expired) by receiving them to go to
incinerate later. I know that in other countries some peoples have done this
kind of study.... Do you know someone? What do you think about this study?

[What are you trying to study? just the quantities/type of drugs that comes
back? I hope it is not for re-use: WHO donation guidelines do NOT recommend
re-using returned medicines. see www.who.int/medicines and search for
donations. Several countries have done these "collections" in the
pharmacies. Anybody wants to help our colleague? WB]
