E-drug: Drugs for Afganistan (cont'd)

I'm one of many American who prefer we rain almost anything
except bombs on Afghanistan, and I agree with HH's
tongue-in-cheek (I trust) observation that things must be really bad
if the Americans are inflicting drug donations on these people.

Plainly, the Afghans' need for meds is enormous. But until a
semblance of order permits assessment of what is needed and can
be administered, nothing can be sent responsibly. The USG food
drops, well-intended as we take them to be, are nothing compared
to what must happen to get at the heart of the matter and prevent
worse tragedies to come.
