[e-drug] EDL - ATC correction (cont'd)

E-drug: EDL - ATC correction (cont'd)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear E-druggers,

I apologise for a misspelling in my previous message. The URL for
the WHO collaborating centre should read
http://www.whocc.nmd.no (not mnd).

I think the introduction to the Turkish officials went well and
hopefully we can soon add a country of 70 mill people to the list of
users. What came up in the meeting was that NATO members have
already classified drugs with ATC codes and defined daily doses in
their respective countries. I knew NATO had been working on
classifying medical supplies, but not that each country had also
classified their drugs. So, a participant from the Military Academy in
Turkey could present the Ministry with a list of all drugs on the
Turkish market already coded! This also demonstrates the value of
having meeting between different partners in the health sector. This
seminar had participants from MoH, university, health insurance and
professional associations.

Regards,

Kirsten
