E-drug: Essential Drug Supply in Sudan
----------------------------------------------------------
I'm interested in understanding the long-term results of the US bombing of
Shifa Pharmaceuticals in Khartoum. It's my understanding that Shifa
produced 60% of Sudan's drugs including antimalarial medicine, intravenous
fluids and antibiotics. Apparently they also exported medicine as well.
Any ideas where I might be able to find more details about this or learn
more about what effect the lack of supply from Shifa will have on Sudan?
By way of introduction, I work with the CRY For The World Foundation. CRY
is a new organization focused on increasing the supply of essential drugs
to children in the developing world who are at risk of death due to
preventable disease.
Thanks for any assistance anyone may be able to provide.
