E-DRUG: Essential medicine policies to promote rational/quality use of medicines (2)

[The Australian Medicines Handbook (AMH) is also behind a pay wall but the organisation has been donating copies of the previous year edition to developing companies as soon as the new one is published. It is a heavy book so freight needs to be covered by a donor or the recipient. They update the hard copy annually.

Dear Kathleen Holloway and all E-druggers
Thank you for your message 'E-DRUG: Essential medicine policies to promote rational/quality use of medicines'
I would like to invite comment on the role of tools such as the British Medical Formulary, which provide guidance on rational prescribing and how to select medicines (as well as information on individual medicines). Many national formularies provide guidance on individual medicines only. As far as I know,
there is no international equivalent of the BNF and the BNF itself is behind a paywall.
Best wishes, Neil
