[e-drug] Experience on mobile clinics sought (cont'd)

E-drug: Experience on mobile clinics sought (cont'd)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

An interesting consideration for "mobile" clinics is that they are not
always equally "mobile" for all. Indeed, in many cases, a catchment
of people would have to move to "catch up" with such clinics. This
may create political and other factional tensions. So, it is advisable
that whenever possible, for equity of care, that the actual location
of clinics should be 'mobile" as well.

Communication regarding clinic itinerary and, what is even more
important, reliability of such itinerary, must be consistently robust.
Also, in the initial days or weeks, or months, utilization can be
poor, but one should hold fast. There is always a temptation to give
up too early. Of course, it goes without saying that the same array
of factors that have negatively affected healthcare delivery in many
countries of the world such as poor salaries and conditions of work,
will not simply disappear because a clinic is mobile!

Best of luck indeed to you in what can be a worthwhile endeavor.
