[e-drug] Experience on mobile clinics sought (cont'd)

E-drug: Experience on mobile clinics sought (cont'd)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

In Kosova when the conflict started there were mobile clinics which
were going to villages to provide service to IDP people. There was a
team of doctors, nurse, technician etc. Health facilities in villages
were supplied with essential drugs and other commodities in order
to serve the population until the next visit.

During the air strike all NGO's left Kosova, so there were no mobile
clinics for the population. Who remained there has been served
from the reserves which were found.

After the NATO ground troops entered, these mobile clinics served
the population for some months. After that, Kosovars turned back
to the state health service, and the population was served again
through fixed health facilities.

The policy was to rehabilitate health facilities and to strengthen
primary health care services with the concept of family doctors.
