Summary of the Position:
The Senior Vice President, Global Public Health, will provide vision, strategic leadership, direction, and operational integrity to the Global Public Health team (GPH) and inspire support for its mission, goals and programs. As a member of the Executive Team (ET), S/he will work closely with the CEO and other ET members to ensure all departments work collaboratively with the GPH team and provide the support needed to execute the strategy and
to shape the long term direction of GPH, nationally & internationally. The Senior Vice President (SVP) is responsible for advancing both currently funded USAID activities under the title Promoting the Quality of Medicines (PQM), and a Center for Pharmaceutical Advancement and Training (CePAT) now established in Ghana. Additionally, SVP will be lead all resource development to include successful planning, development and implementation of a comprehensive fundraising and development plan in partnership with the Vice President, Development and a development team, with the goal of establishing resources for programs based on a sustained funding income stream. S/he also serves as a key spokesperson for the organization.

Must be able to travel internationally up to 30% of the time.

Required Experience:
Education:
An advanced degree in a relevant field of study such as science, pharmacy, or public health administration required.

Experience:

- Equivalent of 15 years of experience in related organizations ideally at a high impact philanthropic organization.
- Several years of leadership experience in a senior level role with responsibility for developing strategic plans.
- Minimum of 7 years of people management experience.
- Experience in a role requiring collaboration in complex internal and external organizations as well as a demonstrated ability to work with efficiency and diplomacy, particularly as part of a team effort.
- Track record of defining, planning and executing a program of work, or plan of action, preferably together with others, and leading it to successful completion.
- Prior experience in a leadership role with a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
- Prior experience with international program management in a public health or relief organization.
- Significant international experience including Africa and Asia.
