E-DRUG: Good storage practice guidelines needed (6)
---------------------------------------------------

Dear Philippa Saunders

It's really a sad situation specially in developing countries like Brazil where a big number of persons dont have access to essential medicines and that ones who have access can use a medicine that lost its stability under bad conditions of tranportation and storage.

Besides that the persons working on warehouses, techicnicals or even pharmacists, they dont have any instructions or worry about how to deal with medicines.

What i face as an inspector on health surveillance and also making this research is that they deal with medicine as any other good and we dont find a way to sensibilizate them about it.
We dont have support from regulatory laws or government since the public warehouses dont have pharmacists and keep medicines under uncontrolled conditions. For public pharmacies it's enough distribute the medicines and keep the comunity satified by providing some of its need; the quantity is the worry, not the quality.

I will make my research trying to call attention to these points.

I thank you for your contribution, it was very important

Thanks very much
