E-DRUG: GPHF-Minilab® Project Transfer to Global Pharma Health Fund e.V.
-------------------------------------------------------
[It is unfortunate that this important initiative is not independent and with public funding. Moderator]
Dear Sir or Madame,
with effect from 1st of July 2007, the GPHF-Minilab® project will be operated by the Global Pharma Health Fund e.V. (GPHF), a charitable organisation initiated and funded exclusively by donations from Merck, Darmstadt Germany*. In addition, Merck provides the GPHF with expertise and staff for its local projects around the world.
The Global Pharma Health Fund succeeds the German Pharma Health Fund e.V.
(GPHF), a pharmaceutical industry initiative that promoted numerous health
projects in developing countries from 1985 to 2007, including the development and testing of the GPHF-Minilab.
Apart from a new name and sponsorship, there will be no changes whatsoever. All contact details including email and homepage address will stay the same as shown below.
The GPHF-Minilab project will continue to be operated under a non-for-profit scheme and I will stay your contact for all project related issues on development, implementation, training and information.
Technologie Transfer Marburg will stay responsible for Minilab assembly,
shipment and invoicing.
The promotion of the new GPHF set-up to appropriate audiences in your
organisation and affiliated institutions, priority disease programmes, hospitals and other health facilities is much appreciated.
Dr. Jürgen Knackmuss, chairman of GPHF, and I myself are looking forward to receiving continuous support from existing and new project partners.
Yours sincerely
Richard W. O. Jähnke
