WHA
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear List Readers,

Health Action International has just released two briefing papers for the
upcoming 54th World Health Assembly.

The first one focuses on ways to increase and sustain access to essential
medicines and the second one addresses WHO's increasing dependence on
private sector
funding. These topics will be included on the meeting's agenda. Both of the
papers can be accessed by visiting the HAI website at:
http://www.haiweb.org/news/news.html

Those without Internet access, can receive copies of the paper by
contacting
the HAI Europe office at the address given below.

HAI and many partner NGOs will participate in the 54th World Health
Assembly
which begins next Monday in Geneva. We will be reporting on issues relating
to access and public-private ventures to this list serv and others. You can
reach us in Geneva using the e-mail below.

With best wishes,

Lisa Hayes
