MUCALTHINI TABULETTAE 0.05 is the Latin name. The name as
transliterated from the Russian is MUKALTIN. According to the
classic Russian handbook "Medicinal Preparations" by M.D. Mashkovsky
(1994), Mukaltin tablets contain 50 mg mukaltin, a mixture of
polysaccharides from Althea Officinalis L.; 87 mg sodium bicarbonate,
and 160 mg tartaric acid. Mukaltin tablets are indicated as a mucolytic.
Dosage is indicated as 1-2 tablets taken before meals during 7-14 days.
