E-DRUG: History of Central Medical Stores (11)

It is so nice to see old friends (Murtada, William Mfuko, Bonnie), contributing on this interesting discussion.
In Zambia the current Medical Stores Limited was established in 1976. Prior to that Medical Stores was a department of MOH and operated like a government store for supplies for the health sector (equipment and all).
It was headed by an MOH pharmacist.
I have not come across any written history of the Zambian system.
