Dear e-druggers
The ban by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India of 3 drugs due to their unacceptable risks to patients, is a welcome development. The sad part is that these banned drugs especially the anti-diabetes drug Pioglitazone are yet to be banned by countries Indians export pharmaceuticals to. Nigeria had earlier banned Analgin but still find them in some markets here. Nigerian Government, through NAFDAC (our FDA) should also ban and recall these drugs immediately.
