The Medicine Quality Research Group, Centre for Tropical Medicine & Global Health, Nuffield Department of Medicine, University of Oxford, UK, is seeking a highly motivated Project Research Pharmacist to join the Group to coordinate the pharmacy aspects of the project with the co-applicants and their teams in other specialties and with collaborators around the world.
This is in an innovative Wellcome Trust funded project to improve our understanding of pharmaceutical forensics and the public health impact of substandard and falsified antimicrobials. The Group is part of the MORU Tropical Health Network and the Infectious Diseases Data Observatory.
The post holder will be a key member of the Medicine Quality Research Group, responsible for providing pharmacy input to the data scientists, forensic biologists and chemists, sociologists, modellers and physicians working on the project. The post holder will assist with the coordination of the pharmacy aspects of the work and liaison with collaborators and have responsibility for curation and analysis of data in the 'Globe' and 'Surveyor' and related systems.
S/he will work with the project Software engineer and data scientist to ensure that the databases and data flows are informed by up to date pharmacy practice. The position would suit a pharmacist interesting in using their skills to conduct research to improve global health.
