[e-drug] Low Cost Medical Waste Incineration

E-drug: Low Cost Medical Waste Incineration
------------------------------------------------------------

DE MONTFORT UNIVERSITY (DMU) INCINERATORS

Dear Colleague/Friend,

At some point during the last few years we have been in contact
with you about the low cost medical waste incinerators being
developed at De Montfort University.

In view of such major programmes as GAVI and the UN programme
to combat AIDS, we decided to produce a new leaflet to highlight
what has been accomplished. A copy is attached. Acrobat is
needed to unwrap it. [attachments do not work on e-drug, so this is NOT
attached - TD]
If you do not have Acrobat, the 'read' portion
is available, free of charge, on the WWW.

I would draw your attention to the WWW sites given in the leaflet
(from which much detailed information is available). The version on
the University site is up-to-date and the one on the Echo site will be
up-dated shortly.

Prof Jim Picken and I are currently supporting major programmes in
East Africa, West Africa and Central Asia whilst looking at other
variants of the incinerators to suit particular circumstances.

If you decide to build one or more of the DMU incinerators we would
like to hear from you. It is always heartening to learn about
successes and we are happy to advise on any problems that may
arise.

Yours sincerely,

Mike Bennett
