E-DRUG: MPedigree: combatting the sale of counterfeit drugs

Dear e-Drug members,
I recently rejoined e-Drug and would like to introduce myself as the moderator of a global knowledge network called 'Healthcare Information For All by 2015' (www.hifa2015.org), a group of 2400 professional members with a common interest in improving access to information for healthcare providers in developing and transitional countries.
Below are two messages from the last 24 hours that are particularly relevant to the remit of e-Drug. As such, I have encouraged our members to join e-Drug for further discussion of 'access-to-essential-medicines' issues. I suspect there are already some people who are members of both e-Drug and HIFA2015, and I look forward to help build further links between the two communities. The remits of e-Drug and HIFA2015 are mutually dependent and overlap - particularly in the area of access to relevant, reliable information about the use of medicines. I attach an invitation at end of this message (below the two forwarded messages) for anyone who may like to join HIFA2015.
