E-DRUG: NEW - MQM Globe facilitates access to official alerts on SF products
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear colleagues,
The problem of substandard and falsified (SF) medical products affects all
countries. The Medicine Quality Research Group aims to facilitate easier
access to evidence by collating diverse publicly available information and
making it accessible through our online tools.
The most recent development is a new section covering 'Regulatory & alert
webpages' on our 'Medicines Quality Monitoring Globe' (MQM Globe) tool. In
this section, the user can readily access from one site the webpages of
regulatory authorities or other institutions globally (for example WHO),
that contain specific information on SF medical products, currently
covering 74 countries.
The non-exhaustive list contains dedicated webpages
on medical product quality issues with information on recalls, safety
alerts on SF medical products, illegal products, product quality problems
in general, warning letters to manufacturers, etc.
We welcome you to visit our MQM globe through the following link:

Relatively few regulatory authorities publicly release such data and there
is no uniformity as to which information and how information is shared by
regulatory authorities. Currently, only 'SF dedicated webpages' are
accessible through the MQM Globe. For more information please consult our
website.

Any comments and advice on this new system and on relevant webpages we have
missed would be greatly appreciated. Please write to
medicinequality@iddo.org.
When visiting the MQM globe we invite you to explore the 'lay press
articles' section as well, which was launched in spring 2020. It summarizes
newspaper articles, retrieved from GoogleNews (in English, French, Chinese,
Spanish, and Vietnamese), that are related to medicine quality and are
curated and mapped on a globe.
