AND
MSH's Pharmaceuticals & Health Technologies Group (PHT) works to improve health worldwide by enhancing access to and improving use of essential medicines and other health technologies. MSH helps address the evolving needs of low and middle income countries (LMICs) as they tackle challenges of the epidemiologic transition and related burden of disease. PHT's focus is to help countries develop the capacity to ensure access to and appropriate use of pharmaceuticals and health technologies through system strengthening approaches.
The PHT Group seeks an experienced business development professional to lead business development activities that target LMIC markets. The individual will implement PHT's strategy to build a portfolio of new business outside of MSH's core funding sources of US government agencies. Client targets include commercial entities and the private sector at global and country levels as well as the World Bank, UN agencies, major foundations, and other international organizations working to improve access to medicines.
The Senior Director of Business Development will work closely with senior level management, marketing, and technical staff. S/he may manage the activities of other staff and consultants responsible for developing new business. The Senior Director of Business Development will use a strategic planning approach, a thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions/services of the organization and its competitors to develop the pipeline of private and commercial business in the pharmaceutical sector for MSH.
