E-DRUG: New WHO Prequalification list for AIDS drugs

Dear all,
There is a new list published yesterday 4th April by the WHO prequalification project.
It only includes one more antiretroviral product from Strides (India): Nevirapine tablets. This means there are three generic versions of NVP now WHO prequalified (Cipla, Hetero and Strides). And that Strides has already 3 single-ARVS prequalified by WHO and one ARV-double FDC.

In the last edition of MSF "Untangling the web of price reductions: a pricing guide for purchase of antiretrovirals"(7th edition, February),
you can see prices of ARVs ( http://www.accessmed-msf.org/documents/untanglingtheweb%207.pdf).
For NVP particularly, prices offered by manufacturers for WHO prequalified products to developing countries are as follows:
- Boehringer - Ingelheim: 0.60 USD/tab
- Strides : 0.135 USD/tab
- Cipla: 0.117 USD/tab
- Hetero: 0.11 USD/tab
