E-DRUG: NGOs urge govt to boycott WHO meeting on definition of counterfeit drugs (13)
------------------------------------
Hi,
I agree with the suggestion of Bakari that instead of boycotting the meeting, it should be attended and opposition registered. By absenting it will provide opportunity to the vested to go ahead with the misthought proposition. It is always healthy to resist with justification.
Further I doubt if WHO authroities will allow smooth passage to the proposed amendment in the meeting, now that it is facing such hostile weather. And if they allow in spite of resistance from the generic world, not everything is lost. If what is feared comes true, it will be difficult for WHO to prove if they stand for "Health for all" (including developing world) or "Wealth for few" (from developed world).
