Hello Rob,
Perhaps you know the situation in NL. But for others: in the Netherlands
the oral contraceptives must be prescribed by a doctor the first time,
but if you are over 18 years old, they may be dispensed without
prescription by the pharmacy where you obtained your first pack (s).
