For the record: Professor Harvey was incorrect when he said, apropos the
shelf-life of oseltamivir (Tamiflu) in Australia
"...if it is a Government purchase it is 5 years, although retail it is 2
years,"
In Australia, the shelf life of oseltamivir bulk powder is 5 years, and of
powder for suspension is 2 years, irrespective of who is purchasing it. The
shelf life of oseltamivir capsules was 5 years, but was extended to 7 years
with effect from 1 May 2009.
