The fifth annual masterclass on Paediatric Pharmaceutical Care is run by the Paediatric Pharmacy Team at Evelina London Children's Hospital, Guys and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, as part of a Kings Health Partners (KHP) initiative. It is run in collaboration with the International Alliance for Better Medicines for Children and Global Research in Paediatrics (GRIP-EU FP7 Programme Network of Excellence HEALTH-F5-2010-261060).
The masterclass is ideal for all pharmacists with an interest or understanding of paediatric pharmaceutical care. The content is primarily designed for overseas pharmacists, however UK pharmacists are more than welcome to also attend.
This highly practical masterclass is run by the paediatric pharmacy team at Evelina London Children's Hospital and will share examples of good practice and team work by combining case studies, forum theatres and role plays, as well as lectures. A highlight of this course is patient case reviews at the hospital bed side in small groups.

* Practical pharmacology
* Safe purchasing (unlicensed versus licensed)
* Paediatric formulations
* Medication errors and prescription monitoring
* The role of the pharmacy technician in clinical areas
* Management of the chronic child
* Management of the critically ill child
