E-drug: Patient Observed Sterile Treatment (POST) (cont'd)

Simple minded question from someone very ignorant in these
matters. What's the cost of treating patients infected by multivial
doses or from any kind of non sterile equipment? I fear in many
places they would just be left to die but if not, these costs have been
taken into account before answering David's question.
