Dear Friends,
Although the topic of problem drugs is of great concern globally, there
are not many published research papers dealing with pharmaceutical
regulatory/registration systems and policy. Many papers come from
consumer groups, describing the situation of problem drugs and unethical
marketing.
Some papers describe systems used by countries. Interesting issues raised and/or
studied are:
1. The efficiency / effectiveness of regulatory systems and how to assess it;
2. The impact of regulatory actions / de-registration on the availability of
drugs, rational use, and research and development of drugs;
3. Factors influencing drug regulatory policies.
Does anyone have information about this research to share with me?
Any comment or suggestion on research issues in this area is greatly
appreciated.
