The School of Pharmacy, University of Auckland seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice to teach in the Bachelor of Pharmacy degree and pharmacy practice postgraduate courses, and to advance research in pharmacy practice.
This is a permanent Full Time position with an anticipated start date of 1st May 2013.
The Auckland School of Pharmacy was founded in 2000 and the first BPharm class graduated in 2004. We have developed an excellent reputation for the high quality of our teaching and research programmes.
The School is part of the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences which incorporates the Schools of Medical Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Population Health, and there is strong interdisciplinary collaboration. The Faculty is internationally renowned for the quality of its research and teaching.
Candidates must hold a PhD (or equivalent) in a research area relevant to pharmacy practice.
An undergraduate degree in pharmacy and eligibility for registration as a pharmacist in New Zealand is essential.
Candidates must have experience in teaching pharmacy practice and social pharmacy courses to undergraduate and/or postgraduate pharmacy students. You must have demonstrated an independent line of research directly applicable to clinical pharmacy practice and will have published in peer-reviewed journals.
