Support the launch of PLoS Clinical Trials

June 22, 2006

Dear Colleague,

As an advocate for the Public Library of Science (PLoS), I hope you
will be delighted to hear that our newest open access journal - PLoS
Clinical Trials - has now launched and is freely available to all at
www.plosclinicaltrials.org.

PLoS Clinical Trials will peer-review and publish the results of
randomized clinical trials from all areas of medicine and public health.
The journal will improve the reporting and availability of trial results
by considering all randomized trials for publication irrespective of the
outcome of the study. As with all PLoS journals, authors keep the
copyright to their work, enabling the widest possible redistribution and
reuse of content.

Take a look at some of the articles published so far in the journal:

Smith R, Roberts I
Patient Safety Requires a New Way to Publish Clinical Trials

Korn D, Ehringhaus S
Principles for Strengthening the Integrity of Clinical Research

Bukirwa H, Yeka A, Kamya MR, Talisuna A, Banek K, et al,
Artemisinin Combination Therapies for Treatment of Uncomplicated
Malaria in Uganda

Your involvement is crucial in helping to maintain the momentum of our
launch. Here's what you can do:
