E-drug: Private sector sales of TB drugs (3)

With regard to the message by Seyfu Abebe, I am looking for more information on how the Ethiopian model on PPM on TB drugs is structured, how it is run and the role of both parties (public and private). The model seems to have brought in an interesting issue of financing. In Zimbabwe we conducted a study to determine the incentives (both financial and non-financial) that will motivate the private pharmacies to be engaged. Fears that were observed include issues of reporting, record keeping, drug resistance development, (this can arise when a TB patient is then continuous getting his or her TB drugs from a private pharmacy without clinical assessment for treatment success or failure), managing drug supply, etc. I will be happy if can get details of how that model addresses these concerns.
