There is chaos regarding strength indication of Fixed Dose Combinations,
FDCs. This is a mess that needs regulation standards as soon as possible.
Sometimes strength is indicated for only one of the components. Sometimes
as the combined weight of the active substances. But most often there is no
numerical indication of strength at all in the product name of FDCs.
Parallel import of FDCs in Europe has lead to a situation with several
varieties of the same product labelled with different strength indication.
Especially patients with Parkinson's disease have suffered from this mess.
