E-drug: Re: New drug info resource (cont'd)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi all
In response to the criticism of the website recommended by Andy Gray, I
looked at the website mentioned by Dr Ken Harvey (http://www.tg.com.au). I
feel it is really mundane - nice info on the disease condition but not very
easy to scroll through and no links from sub-titles. Also, most of it is on
a "buy me" basis, which many practitioners cannot afford to do. With
reference to the (http://www.medscape.com/druginfo) website, while I also
felt it would be nice for the disease search to end up with patient info on
the disease state, I feel the drug info is "patient friendly" and easily
adjustable for production of patient info leaflets
With regard to the other response from Larry D. Sasich in reference to
Propulsid (cisapride) or Prepulsid as it is also called, are the
indications
and recommended dosages for cisapride the same the world over i.e. USA as
compared to other countries?
Best regards

[Norway uses lower doses and the authorities attribute fewer reported
adverse drug reactions to that. I assume the other Nordic countries use the
same dosages as Norway. We have previously on E-drug heard from Japan that
they use lower doses than USA and see 'no' problems. KM, moderator]
