Dear E-druggers and Rizwan!
I want to know why Propulsid (cisapride) was decided to be withdrawn
from the market INSTEAD OF reducing the dosage.
Reportedly, in Japan, the regulatory authority, the Ministry of
Health and Welfare of Japan, won't withdraw it because the dosage of
Propulsid in Japan is much less than the one in US.
As I am a MD in Japan, I must decide whether I further prescribe
the drug to my patients. That's why I want to know the reason
why it was NOT decided to reduce the dosage but to
withdraw it from the market.
