Personally I'd really leave my hands off those highly toxic
compounds. But then I have seen what they can do to patients...
However, leaving all Political Correctness aside, I like the approach
the Namibian government has taken:
They have created a traditional healers' board along the lines of the
medical and dental boards (elected by the members of the relevant
profession).
All traditional healers must register with the board which must set
standards and police its members.
