E-drug: Re: Traditional medicine (5)
----------------------------------------------------------
Dr Ekbal asked:
In india traditional medicine comes under Indigenous Medicine. Is this
term suitable to other places also?
In Australia the 2 terms have very different meanings. Indigenous medicine
will be understood to be the traditional medicines of the Australian
aboriginal people. Traditional medicine could refer to any of the over 100
traditions of people who have migrated to Australia in the past 200 years -
notably Chinese traditional medicine. We more commonly use the term
"Alternative medicines".
