E-drug: Resources for ORT/ORS discussion
----------------------------------------------------------
Dear E-drug subscribers
I have been following the interesting postings re: ORT / ORS. (Moderator:
Encouraging pediatricians to recommend ORT). If anyone
wants further information on all aspects of the debate including
prescribing practices, attitudes, mothers' behaviour, critiques of ORS,
making ORS at home, importance of communication etc...you might find it
useful to find references from the Healthlink Worldwide database. There are
approx 400 listings for ORT, many with a practical PHC approach.
The database is accessible from our website at:
http://www.healthlink.org.uk
Click on Database
Then click on Search the database
You will be prompted for a username and password.
The username is always:
link
The password during June is: quito87
If you want to continue using this resource after June please contact
Victoria Richardson, our Information Systems Officer at:
richardson.v@healthlink.org.uk
She will tell you how to subscribe (which is free of charge in most cases).
For our own records, please inform Victoria if you use the database, and
tell her if you heard about it from this forum. Thank you
I hope this proves useful
Best Wishes,
David Curtis
